The Mayor’s Office of Community Safety (“Mayor’s Office”) established Gang Reduction and Youth Development (“GRYD”) to provide data-driven gang prevention and intervention programs in communities most impacted by gang violence in the City of Los Angeles (“City”). Each year, the Mayor’s Office administers contracts on behalf of the City with approximately two dozen non-profit community-based organizations to provide direct gang prevention and intervention services to youth and families in these communities. For Fiscal Year 2025-2026, the Mayor’s Office has designated twenty-three (23) areas across the City for the continued implementation of gang prevention and intervention services (“GRYD Zones”). The GRYD Zones are listed in the table below and identified in the map attached as Exhibit W.
