Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor agrees to perform grove management and maintenance services as required by City. The work, in general, consists of management and maintenance services including: harvesting, packaging and sale of citrus for two (2) groves within the City of Poway boundaries. The project areas do not include any ornamental landscaped buffer zones. The project locations are: 1-A. Silver Ridge Grove: Approximately 6.5 acres of Lisbon Lemons on Volkamariana rootstock located east of Poway Road of Silver Ridge and Sunset View Roads. There are approximately 528 trees that were planted in 1994. The irrigation system consists of seven (7) valves on a single Calsense “smart” controller with a single drip emitter per tree. 1-B. Adobe Ridge Grove: Approximately 1 acre of Eureka Lemons on Volkamariana rootstock located at the end of Adobe Ridge Road to the west of Pomerado Road. There are approximately 100 trees that were planted in 1998. The irrigation system consists of a single valve with a battery operated controller, with a single drip emitter per tree. Irrigation controllers are shared with the Parks Landscape Maintenance Division.
