The Project includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to demolish three (3) grit classifiers, install two (2) owner-furnished grit washers and control panels, removing and replacing five (5) owner-furnished grit pumps, installing five (5) owner-furnished VFDs, providing all associated equipment including plug valves, piping, conduits, wires, seal water system, and equipment connection fittings, and providing the mechanical, structural, instrumentation and electrical retrofits necessary to configure the grit washers and grit pumps as shown on the plans and specifications. Two bid alternates are included to replace 45-degree bends in Gallery A and to remove and replace an 8-inch grit overflow pipe and fittings.
