The work will generally consist of environmental consulting services to support the operations and maintenance of the Dougherty Valley Geologic Hazard Abatement District (DV GHAD) and Northwest San Ramon Geologic Hazard Abatement District (NWSR GHAD). Services may include, but are not limited to: - Conduct biological resource assessments and constraints analyses for GHAD maintenance and repair projects (e.g., slope stabilization, erosion control, pond repair) - Perform pre-construction habitat assessments and nesting bird surveys - Develop habitat restoration plans for erosion-prone hillsides, drainages, and ponds - Prepare mitigation plans and monitor impacts to habitats or sensitive species - Prepare dewatering plans and species protection plans - Provide biological monitoring and reporting during construction activities - GIS mapping of sensitive habitats, special-status species, and natural features - Support emergency response efforts after landslides, storms, or slope failures including field assessments and regulatory coordination - Assist with regulatory compliance and permitting (e.g., USACE, RWQCB, CDFW) - Perform other environmental consulting services related to GHAD maintenance, as requested
