A. Shelter Operations o Providing up to 40 units of non-congregate shelter during designated wet-weather months (December 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026). o Operating the shelter overnight from check in at 5PM to check out at 10AM. o Ensuring compliance with local health, safety, and occupancy standards. B. Facilities & Location o Identifying and securing an appropriate shelter facility within the City of San Buenaventura. o Ensuring ADA accessibility and meeting building code requirements. o Providing transportation from intake site to shelter site if not in the same location. C. Staffing & Security o Staffing the shelter with trained personnel, including at least one supervisor per shift. o Implementing safety protocols, including overnight security presence as needed. o Training staff in trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, and emergency response. o Entering Client Data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) D. Support Services & Coordination o Conducting basic intake and referrals to social services. Partnering with local agencies to provide access to case management, housing navigation, and health services. o Ensuring coordination with local law enforcement and emergency response teams.
