The County of Placer’s Department of Agriculture, Parks, & Natural Resources, Regional Forest Health (RFH) Division has been awarded a subgrant under the 2022 Regional Forest and Fire Capacity Program (RFFCP) from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC). This grant aims to increase regional capacity to prioritize, develop, and implement projects that enhance forest health, fire resiliency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and increase carbon sequestration across California’s forests. To meet the County’s goal of increasing regional capacity around community wildfire resilience work, Placer County RFH Division is seeking assistance in building, facilitating, and supporting development of a collaborative steering committee/group focused on wildfire resilience activities benefiting communities and landscapes in and around the Foresthill Divide area of Placer County.
