3. SERVICE HOURS/ SECURITY/ VEHICLES: A. Contractor shall always be escorted on the grounds of DSH-C by hospital staff when working in the Secure Treatment Area (STA). B. Service Hours: i. Contractor shall provide all services during normal business hours except kitchen and dining room installations. ii. Normal business hours for all buildings are defined as Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. excluding state observed holidays or as agreed upon by Contractor and DSH. iii. Dining Room (2) dining rooms’ firestop installations will be completed between 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. to avoid interfering with food preparation and service. iv. Lunch is one hour. v. Due to escort shortages, there will be no “in and out” privileges to gather tools from the Conex Storage unit by the Contractor. The Contractor must create and follow a Daily Work Plan with regards to the work that needs to be completed and the tools and materials needed to do the job on a daily basis. vi. Contractor will not work during State holidays. C. Crew will be required to follow DSH-C Administrative Directs (to include, but not limited to Flu shots, wearing of surgical masks, etc.) when around patients or in patient areas. D. Site clearance is required for Contractor’s personnel and bidders’ conference/site walk attendees, which requires a Driver’s license and/or Government issued ID, full name, and date of birth to review in the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) database. Information for the CLETS clearance must be submitted at least 5 business days prior to site visit and mobilization for firestop installation services. E. Live Scan background check is required when working on the DSH-C grounds. Background check shall be completed at the Contractor’s expense at an outside agency or can be done free of charge at DSH-C. A completed Live Scan form for each crew member must be submitted within 5 business days after mobilization for firestop installation services. DSH-C Hospital Police Department (HPD) will issue green badges to Contractor’s personnel after the background check has cleared. The ID badge will allow the Contractor to act as an independent service provider. F. Mandatory tool inventory is conducted by the Hospital Police each day upon entry into the STA. Contractor will be briefed on the tool inventory process. G. Neckwear and khaki colored clothing shall not be worn by the Contractor while on DSHC premises. H. Vehicles: i. DSH—C will not provide vehicles, carts, or lifts to contractor. ii. All vehicles must be owned by Contractor’s company and marked with the business name and or identifying logo of the company. iii. Vehicles are allowed outside the STA area with prior authorization by the Assistant Hospital Administrator of DSH-C or designee. iv. All vehicles will be subject to security inspection upon arrival to the DSH-C facility.
