Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. tripping and resetting all fire protection systems, 2. visual inspections of all components for serviceability and compliance with 19CCR and 24CCR, NFPA, and manufacturers recommended use and installation instructions, 3. cleaning and replacing hardware (nozzle, brass caps, fusible links, manual pull glass rods and burst disks, etc.) as required by the manufacturer’s recommendations, 4. inspect all hangers/seismic bracing, pipe and fittings, 5. test all alarm devices, alarm panels, annunciators, main drain, anti-freeze solutions and hose nozzles. Test main drain at system low point or at all system risers, 6. maintain all types of valves and prior to freezing low point drains (dry pipe systems) will also be maintained, 7. replace, refill and re-charge chemicals as necessary to maintain safe, efficient operation in the clean agent and chemical systems and hood fire protection system, 8. replace nitrogen/Co2 high pressure cylinders, as necessary, 9. fire pump flow testing annually, to maintain safe efficient operation and 10. hydrostatically test all tanks and cylinders as required by accepted manufacturer’s recommendations in accordance with provision in 19CCR and 24CCR 11. Perform Quarterly Inspections per NFPA 25 to include waterflow and tamper switches in conjunction with the quarterly inspections according to the Joint Commission standard requirements.
