Fire Station 44 has been in service for over 80 years and many repairs have been made over its existence, however critical items to the building have exceeded their life cycle. The Fire Station 44 Facility Repairs Phase 2 project includes exterior upgrades to facilitate a secure parking area for Fire Department staff. A mandatory site walk is scheduled for prospective bidders to view the site and gain an understanding of the particulars of the project. An expansion of this scope is outlined below. Demo and Stump Removal: • Removal and disposal of existing porch slab • Removal and disposal of 5 tree stumps • Removal and disposal of existing porch awning Fencing: • Relocation of existing fence to the east property line using all new posts. • Add fencing sections to enclose the east side of the property and connect to the southern fence. • Construction and installation of a sliding 20' wooden vehicle gate (manual operation) Concrete: • Install concrete parking slabs on east and southeast sides of the lot, approximately 500 square feet. Site plans are provided in the Attachments section of this ITB. Exterior Building Repairs: • Remove and replace the three (3) existing exterior doors and frames on east wall. Paint to match existing color. • Purchase and install metal standing seam awnings over the three (3) east windows and one (1) southeast window. Awntech Houstonian or equivalent.
