A. Contractor shall provide periodic inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and water-based fire protection systems and cellular monitoring for a period of three (3) years. Contractor shall service the following and associated components: 1) All addressable and/or conventional fire alarm systems, automatic fire sprinklers, wet standpipes, dry standpipes, fire hoses, fixed water spray, foam systems, preaction systems, deluge systems, smoke detectors, pull stations, duct detectors, waterflow devices tamper switches, private fire service mains, fire pumps, water storage tanks, valves controlling system flows, fire extinguishers, strobes, and horns. 2) Contractor shall also service fire protection systems that have been installed in accordance with the California State Fire Marshal, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 19, Public Safety; National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); Uniform Building Codes (UBC); California Building Code (CBC); and California Fire Code (CFC), Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ, Regulation 4 for Oakland District), and manufacturer’s recommendations. 3) Contractor shall be responsible for informing Caltrans Contract Manager of any new applicable codes or revisions to existing codes. B. At start of Agreement, Caltrans Contract Manager will schedule a pre-work meeting with Contractor. At which time, Contractor shall submit a detailed schedule with proposed timeline for all reoccurring services for approval. The detailed report shall also include any replacement parts and/or materials necessary to complete the repairs, estimated costs of those parts and/or materials, and an estimated timeline on when the repairs will be completed.
