Contractor shall upgrade existing FACP digital alarm communication system from POTS copper landlines to cellular communicator system. Contractor shall install a new Cellular Alarm Communicator and program to existing FLS system that utilizes Siemens software and equipment. The digital alarm communicator system must meet the minimum specifications and guidelines listed on Caltrans IT Hardware & Software Standards. B. Contractor shall field and verify signal cellular dialer signal strength via NAPCO testing tool. C. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, material, parts, and supplies to install the following: 1) One (1) NAPCO StarLink Cellular unit. 2) One (1) dual input module to FACP for supervision of status of NAPCO unit. D. Contractor shall test initiating device (one of each type) to ensure proper reporting once NAPCO device has been installed. E. Contractor shall spot test the FLS system for the purpose of proper reporting of alarm, trouble, and supervisory signals to Siemens Central Station. F. Contractor shall test a sample of the smoke detectors, pull stations, waterflow switches, and control valves with a tamper switch. G. Contractor shall provide engineered design submittal plans to Oakland Fire Department. H. Contractor shall submit the design package to City of Oakland for permit approval. I. Contractor shall be responsible for any permit fees, Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) review, and final acceptance testing with AHJ J. Contractor shall program cellular communicator to the existing Siemens FLS system to communicate fire event signal. K. Contractor shall route necessary wire and install necessary junction boxes to facilitate the above scope of work (for the cellular dialer only-no additional installation labor or materials will be required should there not be sufficient cellular reception in the current dialer room). L. Contractor shall provide services to repair, patch, and/or paint any walls or ceiling grid necessary due to installation and/or testing. M. Service shall not be complete until installation or repair has been made, tested by Contractor and approved to work by Caltrans Contract Manager. N. Contractor shall maintain a complete file for all services performed under this Agreement. This file shall be made available at Caltrans Contract Manager request
