1. Point of Contact for Applicants and/or Out of State Licensees The Contractor shall provide a clear and accessible method—such as phone, email, or an online form—for RN applicants and/or licensees located outside of California to request fingerprinting services necessary to obtain or maintain RN licensure. 2. Fingerprint Card Distribution (Ensuring Applicant Submits FD-258 Cards) i. Upon request, the Contractor shall provide the applicant or licensee with two (2) standard FBI FD-258 fingerprint cards. ii. Detailed written instructions on how to: a. Locate a law enforcement agency to complete fingerprint rolling; obtain two non-identical fingerprint impressions; accurately calculate and pay all associated fees; submit payment to the Contractor. b. Return the completed fingerprint cards to the Contractor. 3. Fee Collection The Contractor shall provide a secure and accessible method for applicants to pay all fees related to fingerprint processing. This includes fees for: Converting hard fingerprint cards to electronic format Transmitting fingerprint results to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) The Contractor is then responsible for forwarding all applicable fees to the DOJ and any other relevant agencies. Additionally, the Contractor shall provide the BRN with a receipt for all fees collected.
