Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of the County of Santa Clara – Procurement Department to establish a term contract with a contractor to provide Fence Repairs on an “as needed” basis; The term contract shall only be used for repair work and replacement of currently existing structures with County approved equivalents. Successful contractor shall be responsible for all necessary tools; materials; consumables, which shall include but shall not be limited to workers’ supplies or protective garments and disposable items used in furtherance of completing the; waste management and disposal; prevailing wage labor; supplies; and non-specialty equipment required to perform the work; • Project planning that may include site plan where applicable • Repairs of the above fences/structures and gates • Installation of temporary fence structures • Replacement of permanent fence structures; no new installation work • On-site evaluation of the above existing fences/structures including gates and report back to the County • May be required to repair operators, entry systems, and access controls, digital keypads, telephone entry, vehicle detectors, and other appurtenances • Issues concerning sprinklers that may require work-around • Removal and disposal of existing fences • Clearing/stringing the fence line • Replacement/re-hanging of existing gates; no new installation work • Erection, tensioning, slating, and/or anchoring of fences • Inspect the above fences/structures for corrosion • Inspect all components for wear and tear o Posts o Frames o Hardware, including but not limited to anchors, fasteners, hinges, latches, and railings
