1) Welfare and Institutions Code, Section 4571 mandates the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to identify and implement a nationally validated quality assessment tool that enables DDS to monitor the performance of California's developmental disabilities service system and assess quality and performance among regional centers. This data collection effort will enable DDS to evaluate the quality and performance of California's developmental disability service delivery system and among all the 21 regional centers over time. 2) Through a contract with Department of Developmental Services (DDS), State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD), using the NCI Survey tools, collects quantitative data on consumer satisfaction, provision of services, and personal outcomes. Data collection is completed by mailing surveys to eligible families to complete and mail back to SCDD. 3) For each mailpiece, the contractor must print, bind, insert and deliver to the W. Sacramento USPS for mailing.
