• Walk all sidewalk panels in project area and visually assess potential trip hazards or damage • Identify, mark and correct raised sidewalk panels or trip hazards within areas specified in aerial photos • Correct all vertical displacements identified by the City, along with any additional vertical displacements discovered adjacent to those locations. The Contractor shall not bypass newly identified displacements in order to proceed to subsequent City-identified areas. • Identify areas that need to be repaired rather than shaved and communicate those areas with the City; include recommendations for type of repair • Remove offsets to achieve ADA-compliant slope transitions • Provide to City for each corrected vertical displacement in digital format: o Before and after photos o Provide GPS coordinates for each corrected location in Decimal Degrees format (latitude/longitude) with a minimum of 5–6 decimal places of precision o Provide off-set height and length of cut for each corrected area • Working hours shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The work area must be cleaned and made safe at the end of each workday; no overnight closures will be permitted. • Maintain pedestrian safety • Estimated total locations are to be determined by contractor, work must not exceed $55,000 • Services will be billed by inch-feet. An inch foot is calculated by measuring the average height of the sidewalk off-set and multiplying that by the length of the cut • Services will be billed per area (ie – Springlake, Downtown and Beamer)
