Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1. The contractor shall provide a qualified technician that is fully trained to maintain repair and/or install commercial ice machines. This includes plumbing repairs. 3.2. Prime contractor shall have a current C-38 Refrigeration license. 3.3. Contractor must pass a County of San Diego background check and obtain a County ID in order to perform work. See attached instructions and obligations to obtain a County ID. 3.4. Commercial ice machines must be certified as operational. If any of the equipment is found to not be in compliance during the initial evaluation by the Contractor; SDCF will pay for the needed repairs, if required operationally. 3.5. All services, testing and inspection shall be performed in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Manufacturer mentioned in Section 2.4. 3.6. Only new material and parts shall be used to complete repairs. If no new part is available for a specific repair the contractor shall contact the COR or designee and get approval in writing before a used part is installed. 3.7. The COR or designee will notify contractor via email of the need for special maintenance and/or repairs of ice machine equipment. 3.8. Contractor shall be responsible for all travel to the fire station sites as listed in Exhibit A-1. 3.9. Contractor shall provide a response to initial request to repair equipment within 3 business days of receipt of the request. 3.10. Contractor shall complete unscheduled repairs within 7 calendar days of notification, except for those items/components that need to leave the facility to be repaired.
