Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Support restoration of native Central California Coast (CCC) steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in the Alameda Creek Watershed. • Enable District to use water from Alameda Creek as a critical, local water supply needed to recharge and sustainably manage groundwater. • Operate fish ladders to enable District to achieve this goal while also maintaining the weir and rubber dams. • Operate fish ladders in conjunction with natural and reservoir flow releases in the winter to allow native fish immigration, focusing on CCC steelhead. • Synergistically use spring rain events and upstream reservoir releases in conjunction with 7-Day pulse operations to facilitate emigration of steelhead smolts and kelts and other native fishes to the San Francisco Bay during dry and critical dry water years. • Optimize spring operations in order to increase fish passage through the ladders. • Use Adaptive Management Process to optimize above goals. • Any other tasks or services that the District may need.
