The Contractor shall prime and paint all designated areas of the exterior of the building and repair stucco on the west side of the building’s soffit as identified and conformed in this scope of work. a. Work Includes painting and finishing of all designated exterior items and surfaces unless otherwise indicated within these specifications. b. The Contractor shall remove all exterior signs before pressure washing the exterior of the building. Damaged, faded or scratched exterior signs shall be replaced. The Contractor shall provide and replace six (6) new signs with the exact font, shape and size as the original signs that are attached to the exterior of the building. c. The Contractor shall prime and paint all stucco/metal and wood surfaces. d. The Contractor shall resolve any issues related to damaged or dry rot exterior wood. The Contractor shall perform stucco repairs of four square feet (4 sq. ft.) on the West side soffit area. e. The tasks shall be performed by the qualified, skilled, and certified personnel. f. The Project Manager will provide the color schemes upon Agreement approval. B. SPECIFICATIONS FOR EXTERIOR PAINTING (1). SUMMARY OF WORK EXTERIOR PAINTING a. The Contractor shall pressure wash and primer and paint the underside of overhangs throughout the building. The contractor shall primer and paint the entire overhang at the drive test area including the exterior trim and columns. All peeling and water damaged areas shall be scraped clean and primed prior to painting. Note: Care shall be taken when pressure washing wood. Excessive pressure will damage the siding. Concrete walls shall be pressure washed with a biodegradable soap. b. Overhang surfaces and columns shall receive two (2) full coats of an exterior grade satin latex paint. All surfaces shall be back rolled or back brushed. c. Metal doors shall be treated for rust, primed, and painted with two (2) coats of acrylic enamel. d. The Contractor shall remove and prep and paint the front entrance awning and remount after building is painted. e. The Contractor shall prep and paint all curbs adjacent to the building, bollards and islands that are painted around the building with stenciling. Curbing that is not adjacent to the building shall not be painted. f. The DMV Project Manager shall have final approval of all products and colors. g. The Contractor shall replace all damaged and dry rot on the exterior of the building. The new wood shall be primed before installation.
