A. The intent of this Agreement is for the Contractor to provide exterior power-washing, brick resealing, and painting in colors and finish selected by the Employment Development Department (EDD) for the EDD San Bernardino UI office (referenced in I. GENERAL) in accordance with the following: 1. No painting or exterior finishing shall be done under conditions which jeopardize the quality or appearance of painting or finishing. The Contractor shall examine all the surfaces to be finished under this contract and see that the work of other Trades has been left or installed in satisfactory condition to receive paint, stain, or other specific finish. 2. All paint areas shall be in acceptable condition for paint application before work begins. Before starting work, the Contractor shall notify EDD in writing of any surfaces unsatisfactory for proper paint finish. The application of the first coat of any finishing process shall constitute acceptance of the surface. 3. Paint areas included, but are not limited to the following: Doors (Interior and Exterior Sides) Door Trims Patio Fencing Awnings and Canopies Raid Guards Window Trims and Mullions Backflow Cages Backflows Brick Wall Plates / Anchors Fire Systems Street Side Entrance Column and Cover Trash Enclosures Flashing around all edges of roof building Roof Hatch Two Ladders on Roof Etc. as pictured in Attachment A-2 – Exterior Photos Any additional areas will be noted during the mandatory walkthrough. Exclusions to painting are the following: Guard rail near the entrance by the flagpole (East side) Flagpole Roof membrane Electric box by Southeast of building Fire lanes in parking lot Any additional areas in question will be noted during the mandatory walkthrough.
