A. Provide all-inclusive window washing services for thirteen (13) buildings located on the Yountville Veterans Home campus (See Exhibit A-1, List of Buildings and Exhibit A-2, Building Location Map). These services shall be provided semi-annually (twice a year) during the term of this three (3) year contract. CalVet reserves the right to add or delete buildings with the comparable number and size of windows, at any time. B. Provide all equipment including 80-foot aerial boom lift, scaffolding, ladders, brushes, squeegees, and cleaning solution(s) and any/all other needed window washing tools. C. Wash and dry all exterior window panes, window frames, window screens, window sills and doors with glass inserts on one and two-story buildings, some of which include basements with windows. 1. Window Panes a. Remove foreign matter, hard water deposits, paint, oxidation, or other abnormal window soils from window panes. b. Ensure that window panes are properly cleaned, free of film, dirt, stains, spots, tarnish, streaks, runs, lint cleaning marks, etc., and that they have a clean, uniform appearance. 2. Window Sills a. Remove foreign matter, hard water deposits, paint, oxidation, or other abnormal window soils from window sills. b. Ensure that window sills are properly cleaned, free of dirt, grime and bird droppings, and that they have a clean appearance. 3. Window Frames a. Clean window frames and wipe around the glass areas with a damp chamois or sponge to prevent buildup and accumulation of dirt. 4. Window Screens a. Remove, wash, reinsert, and align all window screens and ensure that screens are properly aligned with no gaps or bends. b. Straighten screens to disengage them from windows. c. Every effort shall be made not to cause permanent damage to the screens, and notification to the CM/designee shall be made when any screen cannot be disengaged. 5. General Practices a. Utilize window cleaning products formulated for industrial or commercial use and that comply with environmentally preferred products identified explicitly with the “Green” logo. b. Protect shrubbery surrounding all buildings being serviced. Should any shrubbery or ground cover be destroyed during the window washing service the Contractor shall be responsible for the replacement cost. c. Notify the CM immediately, should an object impede the ability to access windows that need cleaning. d. Contractor representatives must dress neatly and wear uniforms or clothing that distinctly identify them by Contractor’s name. e. Contractor representatives must wear an identification badge that includes the name of the Contractor, the employees' name, and photo identification. This badge shall be worn at all times while on the grounds of the Home. f. The Contractor shall designate an on-site supervisor and provide in writing the name and telephone number to the CM or designee, two (2) weeks prior to the starting date. The “supervisor”, a qualified, responsible and knowledgeable person designated in writing by the Contractor, having authority to act for the Contractor on a day-to-day basis at the work site. g. The on-site supervisor shall sign-in daily at the front desk of the Plant Operations department upon arrival to the Home and when departing the job site, at completion of work. h. The Contractor shall notify the CM of any broken, damaged, or cracked windows, including visible damage to the window sills or caulking.
