A. Areas to be painted are: All previously painted exterior surfaces. B. The Contractor shall examine all the surfaces to be finished under this Contract and see that the work of other Trades has been left or installed in satisfactory condition to receive paint, stain, or specific finish. Before starting work, the Contractor shall notify the EDD in writing of any surfaces unsatisfactory for proper paint finish. The application of the first coat of any finishing process shall constitute acceptance of the surface. C. Painting shall only be done when surface is dry. All materials shall be applied at proper viscosity. D. Each coat of paint shall be applied at proper consistency and brushed evenly, free of brush marks, sags, runs, with no evidence of poor workmanship. Color between coats of paint shall differ (color variations between coats should be enough to distinguish color change, but not enough to impair hiding).
