Specifications include, but are not limited to: Strengthening Community Health Planning Infrastructure Conduct research, information-gathering, and analysis under two interrelated activities – at the state and local levels – to identify creative and best practice approaches for strengthening California’s community health planning infrastructure to better support and advance prevention, health equity and collective action. Public Health Role in Social Determinants of Health Conduct research, information-gathering and analysis to explore the public health role in advancing strategies that address the structural and social determinants of health (SDoH). Identify and elevate specific examples of strategies and actions and how they were applied to influence meaningful progress in areas that are often considered outside of the traditional scope of public health practice (e.g., inclusive economic prosperity, education, housing, natural and built environment, etc.). Other Research Projects to Support the State Health Equity Plan (SHEP) Provide additional project hours to be used for research, information-gathering, analysis, and reporting on topics that arise during ongoing SHEP engagements. Additional projects will be proposed by CDPH to the Contractor for quote and must be approved prior to initiating any activities.
