The City of West Sacramento is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals ("Proposer") to provide design for the Well 22 Rehabilitation Project. More details on the City's needs for this work are provided in the Scope of Work. The purpose of this RFP is to retain professional engineering services to design the rehabilitation of Well 22 and if rehabilitation is to be found to be infeasible then to design a new groundwater well to replace the existing Well 22. The condition of the existing well casing was evaluated through swabbing, purging, and downhole video inspection (Attachment D). The original well previously operated with chlorine injection and was taken offline prior to the establishment of modern Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) regulations. The new well will be designed to meet current regulatory standards, with production capacity testing and a Title 22 water quality analysis to determine if additional treatment infrastructure is required. Through this RFP, the City seeks a consultant with expertise in groundwater well design, municipal water infrastructure, and federally funded project delivery. The selected firm will be responsible for developing complete design documents and supporting regulatory compliance, bidding and construction to ensure the timely and successful completion of this critical water supply project.
