Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Flyer/Promotional Materials for Latino Youth Advocate Recruitment 1. The Consultant must develop a flyer and/or other promotional materials to recruit a minimum of 20 Latino youth advocates. 2. Consultant will recruit 20 Latino youth in each of the three identified Service Areas (SA 3, SA 4, SA 6). 3. Any flyers and/or other promotional materials must include a copy of the LACDMH logo, the Latino UsCC logo, and the MHSA logo. 4. The flyers and/or other promotional materials including those utilizing social media platforms must be submitted to LACDMH for approval prior to implementation. i. All social media posts must include information on where and how to access mental health services in Los Angeles County. ii. The LACDMH 24/7 Help Line must be included in every social media post (LACDMH 24/7 Help Line 800-854-7771). iii. Consultant shall be solely liable and responsible for any and all social media posts. Consultant shall indemnify and hold harmless the County from and against any liabilities and costs arising from, connected with, or related to social media posts as part of this project. iv. Consultant should consult regularly with DMH staff (UsCC liaison, UsCC manager, and PIO) before posting on social media outlets. 5. The flyers and/or other promotional materials are the property of LACDMH. ; B. Development of Pre- and Post-Survey 1. The Consultant must develop pre- and post-surveys to be completed by the from the participants (Latino youth) from each of the 3 Service Areas. The purpose of the pre- and post-surveys are to assess the impact of the project on the Latino youths’ awareness and knowledge of mental health. Page 3 of 9 The survey is confidential, and it will only be used to assess the impact of the event on the participants’ awareness and knowledge of mental illness. i. Consultant will develop a pre- and post-survey to be administered to each youth participant to gather information on knowledge gained. ii. The Consultant shall provide participants with the pre-survey at the start of the project and the post-survey at the completion.; C. Latino Youth Recruitment 1. The Consultant must recruit a minimum of 20 Latino youth (ages 16-24) to participate in the Empowering Latino Youth Mental Health Advocates Project 2. Latino youth must be recruited from 3 Service Areas of Los Angeles County: i. San Gabriel Valley (Service Area 3) ii. Metropolitan Los Angeles (Service Area 4) iii. South Los Angeles (Service Area 6) iv. Other Service Areas (optional) 3. The Latino youth should include a diverse representation with regards to age and nationality/cultural background not limited to the following cultural subgroups: Mexican, Central American, South American, Central American indigenous community, Puerto Rican, Cuban.
