Alternate 1 if funding is available; Slurry Seal. This area measures approximately 8,113 sq. ft. Alternate 2 Slurry Seal. This area measures approximately 26,280 sq. ft. Alternate 3 Installing asphalt curbs, approximately 534 liner feet General specifications for cutting, patching slurry sealing of entrance roads and parking lot areas: • Contractor shall be responsible for traffic monitoring, and allow no pedestrians or bikes on the area. Ensure that the slurry surfacing has had adequate time to cure prior to reopening to traffic -very often drivers assume that the slurry surfacing is drivable despite of the warning signs and cause damage to the fresh placed treatment • Surface preparation shall include sweeping or high pressure washing loose sand, dirt, dust, and removal of thermo-plastic markings, vegetation, water, or other foreign material from existing paved surface prior to repairs and slurry seal. • Cover utility inlets with heavy paper or roofing felt • Contractor will re-strip / paint, parking spaces, ada parking spots, and other markings (stop, directional arrows, cross walks, and crosshatched areas) with durable thermo-plastic traffic paint, matching the layout of the roads and parking lots before repairs. All ADA parking space striping and paths of travel shall meet shall meet current ADA regulations • Any broken or missing wheel stops will be replaced as part of this project • Machine blow and sweep clean the entire surface before striping and before opening up to the public
