Establish partnerships with approximately four FROs operating in San Mateo County. FRO partners will perform surplus edible food pickups from Generators and be responsible for the distribution of this food to community members who want or need it. Develop a work and revenue-sharing food recovery program model that will outline the roles of each organization and how compensation from Generators will be distributed between the contractor and their FRO partners. Onboard approximately ten Generators in San Mateo County to participate in the pilot. Contractor should expect Generators to reach out to the contractor seeking to participate in this pilot based on the County’s ongoing SB1383 outreach and compliance inspection programs. Provide a user-friendly, food recovery platform for participating Generators to request pickups (recurring and/or ad hoc), track surplus edible food recovery records in compliance with SB 1383 and produce impact and SB 1383 compliance reports. Provide monthly reports or live dashboards to the County that show detailed information about Generator participation in the pilot and food recovered/distributed. Attend monthly meetings (virtual) with County staff to provide updates, discuss challenges, and address needs. Submit quarterly invoices by the 15th of the month following the end of the quarter. Provide final report summarizing pilot project impact and outlining next steps for continuation and expansion of the fee-for-service edible food recovery program for the County’s consideration. Other related tasks w/ prior approval from the County.
