Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Remove 31 unhealthy trees near the upper property boundary, shown on Figures 2 through 6 and described in Tables 1 and 2. b. Land trees in the opening to be predetermined with flagging and stakes. c. Follow prescriptions of felling trees, always avoiding sensitive areas. d. Save the Heteromeles arbutifolia tree in the exclusion / sensitive zone. e. Cut stems larger than 20” dbh into 12’ lengths positioned vertical on hillside, unless otherwise stated (always avoid sensitive areas). f. Spread out large stems & branches vertically and leave securely in place within the pre-marked project area. g. Cut eucalyptus stumps level, 8” above ground. h. Create a hand drag line / haul route through less sensitive habitat – approximately 100 linear feet (see Figure 1). i. Haul all chippable material (approximately 20” and smaller) via haul route to a staging area, assumed to be up to 100 feet away (see figure 1). j. Chip and spread hauled material on site, to be determined by City representative. k. Spread out large stems & branches vertically and leave securely in place within the pre-marked project area. Bid Add Alternate Item 1: • Please supply an additional quote to move timbers >20” to the staging area. Bid Add Alternate Item 2: • Please supply an additional quote to remove blue gum: 36”, 70’ tall. This tree is on the south side of White Crane Creek. All material 20” and smaller will need to be chipped at the staging area. This tree will be discussed during the site visit.
