Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Scope of Work is to be used as a general guide and is not intended to be a complete list of all work necessary to complete the project. The following are work tasks assumed necessary to complete the Mayor’s Budget Book. Proposers may suggest a modified scope as part of their proposal. Under the general direction of the Mayor’s Office of Public Policy and Finance, the selected proposer will provide: • Project scheduling and monitoring. Proposer will develop a production calendar in consultation with the Mayor’s Office of Public Policy and Finance staff and participate in frequent meetings and conference calls to monitor progress; • Document design, editing, and publication. Proposer will work with the Mayor’s Office of Public Policy and Finance to establish format and layout of both publications; ensure overall consistency and quality of design, editing and publication; review and make edits as directed by the Mayor’s Office of Public Policy and Finance staff and prepare content for the Mayor’s Proposed Budget; • Graphics design and layout. Proposer will work with the Mayor’s Office of Public Policy and Finance and the Controller’s Office staff to translate financial, performance, and programmatic data into a clear and informative format; • Coordination with Reproduction Services in the publication and printing of documents. Proposer will frequently communicate and work with Reproduction Services (the City’s design, printing and mailing center) staff to ensure the timely and accurate publication of the Mayor’s Proposed Budget; • Web-ready Adobe PDF files for internet publication of Budget Book and related documents; and • Additional web-related content agreed upon by the proposer and the Mayor’s Office of Public Policy and Finance. • Additional budgetary reporting tasks as needed, including, but not limited to, design of one-page documents describing budgetary investments by geographical location or policy area.
