Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Mission Inn project (Block/Lost 7098/012) is located at 5630-5638 Mission St in San Francisco. It was formerly a Tourist Hotel called Mission Inn. The site consists of a u-shaped building. One leg of the U shape is 4 stories consisting of 3 stories of units over tucked under parking, mechanical spaces, and a laundry room. The 4 story leg is the only part of the complex served by an elevator. The rear of the u-shaped building is two stories at Mission Street level, with one story tucked under garages facing Ellington Avenue. The third leg of the u-shaped building is two stories at Mission St level. Located centrally in the courtyard formed by the U shaped building is a free standing two story building that served as Motel Offices and Manager Residences. All ground floor units are accessed directly from walkways at grade. Units on the second story of the two story wings are accessed by stairs and exterior exit walkways. The units in the four story wing are accessed by elevator and/or two stairs and exterior exit walkways. The ground level of the 4 story building will require a Change of Use from S (parking/garage) to B (Offices for Property Management and Resident Services). The central building will maintain the B Occupancy use within offices, but add an A-3 Occupancy use for a resident community space. Office/meeting room rooms on the 2nd story are duplicated on the ground floor to provide equal facilitation. All of the 51 (Tourist Units) will have a classification change to R-2. Six of the units will be renovated to become mobility units that are ADA/Ch. 11B compliant.
