Vendor shall provide a total “turnkey” project including, but not limited to, assessment and determination of electrical capability to provide sufficient power to EV charging station equipment at each site, obtaining all necessary permits, initial electrical survey, materials, designs, engineering plans, manufacturing and installation activities necessary for completing construction at each EV station site location described below. • Eight (8) charging stations at the Joslyn Adult Recreation Center, 210 N. Chapel Ave., Alhambra, CA 91801 • Eight (8) charging stations at Granada Park, 2000 W. Hellman Ave., Alhambra, CA 91803 • Two (2) charging stations at Emery Park, 2709 Mimosa St., Alhambra, CA 91803 The EV Charging Stations shall meet, at a minimum, the following specifications and requirements: 1) Level 2 charging capacity 2) Each battery charging station installation must be reported to the Department of Energy Alternative Fuel Data Center located at http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/ 3) Non-residential 4) Certified by a nationally recognized testing laboratory, ETL Testing Laboratories, Inc. – Intertek, Inc., CETL Listed (a UL alternative) 5) Use a valid and universally accepted charge connector protocol (e.g. Society of Automotive Engineers, CHAdeMO) with compatibility with all or most electric vehicles. 6) At a minimum, the equipment must have a one-year warranty 7) Must be weatherproof, including but not limited to resistance to rain, wind, and flooding. 8) Design that is both tamper-proof and vandalism proof, such as tamper-resistant screws, antivandalism hardware, locked enclosures, and graffiti-resistant coating. 9) High quality and visually attractive materials that complement the location. 10) Compliant with National Electric Code, FCC and other relevant regulations for safety and operation. 11) Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. 12) Screen display(s) shall be user-friendly and easy to operate. Displays shall be LCD, LED, or equivalent, and shall be readable in direct sunlight and at night. 13) Available during regular business hours, with twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week customer support via a toll-free number. 14) Networked System: a. Fully networked to allow for the management of charging operations including access, pricing, power distribution, and charging notifications. b. Captures data on all charging operations and provides data to the City in regular intervals. c. Capable of accepting and processing point of sale transaction payments of all major credit cards and ATM cards through a secure system. d. Publicly available information on station location and real-time availability of charging stations.
