Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected Proposer will provide the necessary staff and supplies to provide senior meals, Monday-Friday (except major holidays) Compliance: The selected Proposer shall serve food that complies with the policies and procedures set forth by the Los Angeles County Nutritionist. The selected Proposer shall also provide meals in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Older Americans Act (42 U.S.C. § 3001-3058 et seq.); Code of Federal Regulations (45 CFR 1321.1-1321.83); Mello-Granlund Older Californians Act at Welfare and Institutions Code section 9000 et seq., Division 8.5; Title 22, California Department of Aging Program Memoranda; and the Los Angeles County Community and Senior Services Program Memoranda/Directives and Standard Operating Procedures. Special Events: The Department holds approximately six (6) special luncheons for seniors for celebrations such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Approximately one hundred eighty (180) seniors attend each of these events. The selected Proposer will work with the Department to ensure a County approved holiday themed meal in the amount required will be available for the special luncheons.
