Specifications include, but are not limited to: District-Wide Essential Services Building with approximately 3,000+ gross square feet, stand-alone, single-story structure; and function as a central command and control facility responsible for carrying out the principles of emergency preparedness and emergency management and/or disaster management functions at a strategic level – during an emergency – and ensuring continuity of operations for LACCD (District). The facility will be equipped for video monitoring, door locks/access controls, lighting, and fire alarms across all nine (9) colleges and two (2) satellite locations. This building will need to operate up to 72 hours after a natural disaster or man-made event. In addition to the scope outlined above, the SOC will require separate – and dedicated – site and building utility system requirements for the project including: electrical power (low-voltage/security), UPS, backup generator system, domestic water, fire water, hot and chilled water, sanitary sewer, storm water, and identify existing utility systems modifications; ADA compliance; and provision for storm water control measures, and development of landscaping. Photovoltaics will need to be studied and Electric Vehicle Stations identified on or adjacent to the site location.
