CDFW is seeking an environmental service consulting firm that will inform, manage, and support the work of the task force. The end result of the overall project will be recommendations on dungeness crab fishery management. The facilitation Contractor agrees to provide facilitation services to the task force, who will produce final recommendation reports immediately following each full task force meeting. Facilitation services refer to a service wherein the facilitator supports constructive and open dialogue between groups with diverse and at times diametrically opposed positions, while remaining neutral, and not expressing or advocating any one point of view; enables the group to work effectively towards achieving a common goal. Specifically, the facilitation services for this contract include these duties: • Interpret the legal framework in which the task force makes recommendations to the legislature, CDFW, and the Fish and Game Commission, either written or verbal, into a form that is more easily understood by the stakeholder member(s).
