The work for this project consists of replacement of the existing bridge on Dry Creek Road over Dry Creek. 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The project consists of replacing the existing single span concrete bridge on Dry Creek Road over Dry Creek. The proposed bridge structure consists of an approximately 80-foot-long by 32-foot-wide single-span concrete slab bridge that is constructed on pre-cast and pre-stressed concrete girders on abutments with cast-in-drilled hole piles. The project also includes 900 feet of new roadway to remove two curves in Dry Creek Road. County staff anticipates that the contractor will build the project in four stages over two summers. The scope of work shall include and not be limited to: • Mobilization • Staging Area Setup • Implementation on Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices (BMP) • Construction Area Signs per CAMUTCD standards and Special Provisions • Temporary Traffic Control per CAMUTCD standards and Special Provisions • Temporary construction facilities include fence, gate, surveillance, field office, etc. • Clear and grub, including tree removal. • Grading, excavation, and backfill. • Construction Survey and staking • Cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles. • Construction of abutments, bridge girders, concrete deck, concrete barriers, and utilities • Installation of drainage facilities, utility conduits, detention basin, and rock slope protection • Construction of roadway approaches and roadway pavement • Installation of Midwest Guardrail System, crash cushion, and end treatments. • Pavement markings, Signing and striping. • Demolition of existing bridge, asphalt pavement, concrete, etc. • Installation of erosion control materials: fiber rolls, hydroseed, temporary drainage inlet protection, etc. • Installation of irrigation system and planting vegetation. • Auxiliary work shown on the plans and as directed by engineer.
