Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The Contractor shall provide the following testing for drinking and wastewater: i. Routine Samples: A schedule of pick up dates and times will be mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and Contract Manager. The DSH Manager will be responsible for ensuring the samples are properly packaged for transport. ii. Urgent Samples (emergency): The Contractor shall pick up new urgent sample(s) within 24 hours of telephone notification by the DSH Manager, and initiate analysis immediately upon receipt of the sample at the laboratory. The Contractor shall perform analysis on all samples submitted and provide results of analysis to the DSH Contract Manager by facsimile within twenty-four (24) hours of the Contractor receipt of sample collection. iii. At the option of and as directed by the DSH, the Contractor shall perform additional testing and provide analysis as required. Testing fees for these services shall be billed at a fee not to exceed the Fair Market Value for similar services or at the Contactor’s published list price for the analysis. iv. The Contractor shall pick-up, transport. Perform testing and provide analysis from the water samples collected and labeled by DSH. B. Analytical Equipment and Supplies: i. The Contractor shall supply enough sample collection bottles/containers, including bacteriological examination containers (no whirl packs will be accepted) that are sterilized and contain the appropriate preservatives and chlorine eliminating agents, refrigerants (Blue Ice), preservative reagents, shipping containers, labels and chain of custody forms. Sampling containers, chlorine eliminating agents, preservatives and holding times shall be as set forth in either “Recommendations for Sampling and Preservation of Samples According to Measurement: in the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Manual of Methods for Chemical Analysis of Water and Wastes or other procedures listed in USEPA approved manuals (i.e. SW 846) and Collection, Storage, Transportation and Pretreatment of Water and Wastewater Samples, published by the Sanitation and Radiation Laboratory, California Department of Health Services (DHS). The above references to publications shall meet the applicable provisions thereof as they exist at the time of collection and submission of samples.
