Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project includes two complete and independent Security Management Systems, including access control, video surveillance, and license plate recognition sub-system. One system will be installed and configured at Chabot College, in Hayward California and will control all related and subordinated systems and devices at the campus. The other system will be installed and configured at Las Positas College, in Livermore California and will control all related and subordinated systems and devices at the campus as well as those at the District Office, in Pleasanton California. The project includes: new access control system, video surveillance system, and license plate recognition system servers and software; the replacement of the existing low frequency access control cards and fobs with new high frequency smart credentials and fobs; replacement of the existing access control system intelligent field panels, door controllers, I/O modules, and card readers with open architecture encrypted devices; replacement of the existing video surveillance system cameras and the installation of new cameras to existing emergency communication system towers; and the integration of the existing emergency communication systems devices in the new Security Management System. Existing power supplies, field devices, electronic locking hardware, and wire and cabling will be utilized to the greatest extent possible, however new Ethernet cabling and powered fiber transceivers will be required to support communication to new IP cameras in various locations. The project will include set-up, configuration, and programming of the Security Management Systems at each campus.
