Meeting with Department staff to understand priorities, goals for user experience, and operational and maintenance needs to be included in the Standards; Researching industry best practices and single-track mountain bike trail standards that have been successfully adopted and implemented by other park and government agencies; Using the information collected to this point (i.e., staff feedback, identified industry best practices, and standards successfully implemented by other park and government agencies), the contractor will refine draft Standards the Department prepared in 2022 which will be provided to the selected contractor; Facilitating a public process that includes meetings with a Mountain Bike Trail Steering Committee, the public, and targeted stakeholders. It is assumed that there will be 12 steering committee meetings (one meeting per month for one year), two public workshops, and three targeted stakeholder meetings; and Preparing and delivering to the Department the final draft of the Quarry Park Mountain Bike Trail Standards. The Department anticipates three (3) drafts to be prepared – two draft standards and a final standard.
