Stakeholder & Community Engagement • Conduct inclusive outreach with arts and cultural organizations, the Arts & Culture Commission, City Council, staff, and the broader community. • Facilitate focus groups, workshops, interviews, and surveys. • Ensure meaningful participation from historically underrepresented communities. • Facilitate discussions to develop clear, community-driven definitions of “art” and “culture”. • Focus engagement on implementation priorities, policy needs, and collaboration opportunities without re-evaluating the adopted Element. • Design engagement to gather actionable information without overtaxing staff or resources. Community Needs Assessment • Review and synthesize existing input and data from the Arts & Culture Element process. • Conduct targeted follow-up outreach or brief surveys to identify operational needs, gaps, and opportunities (e.g., grant access, capacity building, equity barriers). • Collect feedback through interviews, written/online responses, focus groups, and public meetings. • Summarize findings to inform action prioritization, resource allocation, and partnerships. • Focus on high-impact recommendations achievable within current staffing and budget.
