Specifications include, but are not limited to: Built by a private developer in 2007 and acquired by the City in 2020, 4305 Second Wind Way is a single-story metal office building located adjacent to the Paso Robles Municipal Airport. Furnished with the original furniture and equipment, the building currently features a large conference room, private offices, open office space, a breakroom, copy room and restrooms (Attachment A). Located south of the office building is a 4,000+ SF airplane hangar also intended to be retrofitted for use by law enforcement (Attachment B). Both buildings will require robust state-of-the-art security, an access control system and highspeed internet service. The following features must be addressed when designing tenant improvements of the office building: • Private offices for a Commander and two Sergeants • Desk space for a minimum of 17 personnel • Two interview rooms • A report writing room • An office dedicated to forensic internet investigations • A defined space dedicated to drug and gang task force operations • Restrooms including lockers and showers • A copy room • A breakroom The following features must be addressed when designing tenant improvements of the airplane hangar: • A defined office space large enough to accommodate two personnel and computer equipment • A racking system for property and evidence storage • A walk-in freezer and refrigerator for evidence storage • A large safe to accommodate flammable items • A secure caged area to contain sensitive items • The possible construction of a loft area for additional property and evidence storage • Floor space for automobile storage • Adequate cooling capabilities
