Demolition and Remediation of a commercial building at 16803 SPRING STREET. The work shall be done in two (2) phases with one (1) mobilization. Remediation: Qualified contractor will remove all asbestos and lead as identified in provided surveys and submit all clearances, manifests, commissioning report, and closure packages as required. Demolition: Qualified contractor shall remove everything on the site per the contract documents, including, but not limited to, the building, slab, footings, and all underground utilities. All utilities have been turned off and abandoned at site. A demolition permit is required (Exhibit A) prior to commencement of work. All miscellaneous concrete, asphalt, concrete patio and walkways, out structures, and irrigation lines are to be removed. Public sidewalks are to remain and repaired if damaged during demolition. Remove all trees, bushes, landscaping, and fencing located within the property lines. Contractor will be responsible for dust control during operation. Grading: Grading is to be done and any import or export of soil that may be necessary must be included. Site should be reasonably level upon completion. Permit(s): Demolition permit is required. A City of Fontana Building Demolition Requirements packet shall be filled out and submitted at the time of permit request. (See Exhibit A). Contractor is required to obtain any other necessary Agency permits to perform abatement, demolition or grading activities, as applicable. Inspections: The City Building Department is open Monday through Thursday. Any inspections called for on Fridays and Saturdays will be overtime inspections with all costs incurred by the contractor, unless specifically authorized by the project manager. Waste Hauler: Burrtec, www.burrtec.com, must be used for any and all waste hauling in the City of Fontana, unless dump truck or tractor trailer is owned directly by the contractor. See Fontana City Code Chapter 24, Article II, Section 24-11 and Section 24-31(b). Diversion and Trash Hauling Sites: Any trash or recyclable materials being hauled off from the City of Fontana, MUST be taken to the following sites, with no exceptions: Mid-Valley Landfill (909) 822-4871 2390 North Alder Avenue Rialto, CA 92377 West Valley MRF (909) 889-0911 13373 Napa Street Fontana, CA 92335 If additional sites are required for contaminated or remediated materials, contractor is responsible for advising City prior to hauling.
