The Del Rio Sewer (72-inch Force main) Rehabilitation Project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 5,900 linear feet of a 72-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) Force Main. The pipeline runs parallel to the Del Rio Trail, located south of Sutterville Road and north of the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities facility at 1395 35th Avenue. Rehabilitation will be performed using a water-cured, pressure-rated Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) method, a custom epoxy liner system installed within the existing pipe. This is primarily a trenchless operation. However, specific excavation pits will be required to access the pipeline and facilitate liner installation. These areas will serve as designated work zones for staging CIPP equipment and performing the liner launching points. Additional reinforcement at liner termination points will be completed using carbon fiber wrap overlay. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, temporary traffic control, dewatering, sheet piling, shoring and bracing, large diameter pipe CCTV inspection and cleaning, manhole rehabilitation, new manhole construction, FRPMP pipe closures, blowoff valve replacement, surface restoration, vehicle gate and fencing installation, etc.
