The County of Riverside Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office (RSO) - Special Investigations Bureau (SIB), is requesting quotations from qualified bidders to supply Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) equipment for a lab truck, as outlined in this RFQ. This equipment will be utilized for narcotics-related field investigations that involve hazardous chemicals. The SIB oversees several major crime task forces and other specialized investigative units within the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. Personnel are assigned to task forces in collaboration with various agencies, including the High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, the California Department of Justice, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Marshals Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Riverside County District Attorney's Office. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office exclusively uses MSA brand products to ensure compatibility with all county-owned equipment as well as equipment utilized by surrounding agencies and narcotics teams. Therefore, only MSA brand equipment will be considered. The use of equipment from other brands may lead to compatibility issues and hinder proper integration with existing devices. The items listed in Exhibit A will be purchased using High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Grant Funds. All bidders must be capable of delivering the items to the RSO within 15 to 30 days from the date the purchase order is issued. Established in 1893 from portions of San Bernardino and San Diego counties, Riverside County is the fourth largest county in California, covering over 7,300 square miles. The dedicated law enforcement professionals of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, consisting of over 4,000 staff members, serve the diverse communities in this region of Southern California with integrity, professionalism, leadership, and loyalty.
