1.1. The County of San Diego (County), Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is seeking for a quote for a Contractor to remove and dispose of trash and general debris from the Disney Crossing and Smuggler’s Gulch – Trash Booms located in the greater Tijuana River Valley area. 1.2. General debris can include but are not limited to vehicle tires, food wrapper trash, plastic bottles, kids toys, and many other items that flow over the international border during rain events. 1.3. The work area will be limited to 25 linear feet (LF) north and 25 LF south and approximately 40 LF from bank to bank (east to west) of the Disney Crossing culvert and 25 LF north and 25 LF south and approximately 40 LF from bank to bank (east to west) of the Smugglers Gulch – Trash Booms. 1.4. The removal and disposal of trash and debris from the approximately 50 LF project areas at each project location are critical to clean up the area and reduce the potential for additional trash from spreading further downstream during future rain events.
