Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (the RFP) is to invite qualifiedsuppliers to prepare and submit a proposal (or bid) to furnish customsbrokerage/international freight forwarding services to the University ofCalifornia (UC), in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and therequirements defined throughout this RFP. Theoverall objective of the RFP is to select a supplier or suppliers to assist UCin establishing the most cost effective and efficient procurement program for customsbrokerage and international freight forwarding services while maintaining highstandards of quality and service. This project was initiatedto develop a supplier/UC alliance(s) and implement a UC system-wide, programfor customs brokerage/international freight forwarding services that willprovide maximum value to the University through enhanced technology, superiorcustomer service, streamlined processes and lower total cost. Qualifiedsuppliers are invited to submit proposals, based on the information provided inthis RFP, with the intent to establish a business alliance with UC which willmaximize the resources of both organizations to most effectively meet the needsof the University of California.
