A) BID ITEM 1: Rochambeau Park - Court Resurfacing 1. Existing asphalt is 3” thick. 2. Mill and apply asphalt overlay to approximately 20,600 sq. ft. of sport courts – one tennis court and two basketball courts (Attachment 2; Figure 1). 3. Transition joints between rehabilitation methods. a. Mill 3” of A.C in areas shown b. Apply crack filler to cracks exposed after milling c. Furnish and compact 3” of hot mix asphalt with 1/2” aggregate in one lift d. Compact edges for linear appearance 4. Asphalt will be allowed to cure for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to application of acrylic playing surface. Apply temporary painted lines and re-open courts to the public during this period. Contractor shall not store material on site while courts are open to the public. 5. Repaint North portion of pavement ~3,200 sq. ft. Coordinate additional playground line striping, layout, and colors with project manager prior to construction (Attachment 2; Figure 2). a. Dashed yellow line on North side of basketball court. b. New backboards to be transparent clear acrylic First Team Sports FTT222 ‘Legend Supreme’ 42” x 72” or approved equal. Contractor is responsible for using compatible adaptor and hardware to connect backboard to existing goal posts. b. New basketball goals to be First Team Sports FTT186 Heavy Duty Flex Goal with nylon net, or approved equal. 8. Tennis line dimensions shall conform to American Sports Builder Association Standards for a 78’ court. (See Attachment 2; Figure 7). 9. Demolish existing volleyball post sleeves. Furnish and install 2 new volleyball post sleeves. 10. Demolish existing one (1)tennis net and two (2) tennis posts. Furnish and install 2 new posts, 1 center tiedown mounts, and 1 new tennis net.
