Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of San Diego (County) Public Health Services is seeking a Contractor to provide as-needed courier services to transport laboratory biological specimens and pharmaceuticals, including testing kits, biological specimens, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, deceased animals, and other significant items necessary for Public Health purposes to various sites throughout the County. Contractor shall provide a fixed rate for all costs of all-inclusive courier services such as costs associated with the vehicle, driver, mileage, time, weight, and all other reasonable cause associated with the courier services. Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, transportation, insurance, licensing, fees, fuel, and any other goods and services necessary to perform courier services. County departments and/or Public Health Services branches that will utilize the contract include but are not limited to Epidemiology Unit, Immunization Unit, Public Health Laboratory, Behavioral Health Services, Medical Care Services, and Public Safety Group.
