Specifications include, but are not limited to: For the duration of this Permit, the Permittee will rotationally graze the Premises with one herd of cattle, moving the herd from pasture to pasture based upon grass stubble heights that are deemed desirable for waterfowl habitat. A map of these pastures is located on page ii (Exhibit A – Map). If the Permittee enters into a vegetation disposal agreement with the TNC, an additional 226 partner administered acres will become available for grazing in conjunction with the 1,082 CDFW acres that make up the Premises. The Premises grazing prescription is 160 Animal Unit’s (AUs) per month. The total number of AU’s will graze each pasture as a single herd in a rotational grazing system, using grass stubble heights as an indicator to move between pastures, based upon a pre-determined grazing rotation schedule listed in the site operation plan (Exhibit B – Site Operation Plan). In addition to the vegetation disposal agreement with CDFW for 960 AUMs in year one (160 AUs per month for 6 months), and 1,120 AUMs in year two (160 AUs per month for 7 months), the Permittee will be responsible for entering into agreements with TNC for vegetation disposal taking place on their lands for the duration of this Permit. Although these land units require separate agreements to be grazed, once the Permittee has established an agreement with TNC, all cattle will be grazed together in one herd, rotating between the Premises and TNC pastures. The Permittee will compensate the CDFW for time the herd is grazing on all pastures.
