Specifications include, but are not limited to: Household Bulky and Abandoned Debris It is estimated that approximately $200,000 will be budgeted for these contractual services to be rendered which shall include furnishing labor, equipment, services, and specialized skills. The City reserves the right to decrease or increase this amount dependent upon need. All services provided through this contract shall be as-needed and shall not commit the City to expending a specified amount of collection services. The contractor will be hired to perform the following: • Supplemental household bulky and abandoned item pick-up service in the City of Glendale that is comprised of one truck with two staff working a minimum of foureight hour shifts. • Retrieve material left in City right-of-way areas including parkways, streets, sidewalks and alleys. • The City shall assign routes to the specified two-person crew. • All debris shall be taken to a facility specified by the City, either Scholl Canyon Landfill or a facility to process loads for recyclables. • The selected Contractor will not have to pay for disposal and/or recycling as they will use the City of Glendale’s account(s). • The contractor shall turn in all gate records for landfill tonnage. • Pick-up Christmas trees annually from January 2-February 16. The contractor may be asked to keep this material separate. • Provide a flat hourly rate for a two-person crew (This shall include the start of collection services to disposal of materials). • No surcharges are allowed for fuel, mileage, repairs or tonnage. • Attachment “B” includes a list of items that are authorized under the household bulky/abandoned item collection program.
