Specifications include, but are not limited to: On October 4, 2021, the City of San Diego (City) issued a Notice of Availability/Offer to Lease Surplus Property (NOA) located within the Midway – Pacific Highway Community Plan Area (Property). The NOA process was successful in identifying multiple responsive proposers who desire to fulfill the City’s goal of complying with conditions set forth in the State of California’s Surplus Land Act, as well as provide options to renovate or replace the City’s existing and operational sports arena on the Property as a regional entertainment venue and subsequent operation of that venue for concerts, sports, and other events, consistent with similar arenas within comparable cities throughout the United States. Consultant shall assist the City in evaluating and negotiating a long-term lease agreement at such price and upon such terms and timing that will ensure that the proposed development occurs, and that any agreement is on such terms and conditions that are set forth in the City Charter, Article 2, Division 9 of the San Diego Municipal Code (SDMC), and Council Policy 700-10.
