The Work consists of all materials, labor, tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, transportation and incidentals necessary to furnish, install, commission, start up and deliver a complete and fully functional project in accordance with Bid Documents. Cooling Tower CT-1A/1B condition has severely deteriorated and reached the end of its useful life. The said cooling tower can no longer provide desired cooling needs. This tower is needed to operate four adsorption chillers, two mechanical chillers and support the HVAC system currently in place. The scope of the Work is to address the necessary repairs and upgrades at the Central Plant: 1. Demolition and removal of existing components: a. Old cooling tower b. Two cooling tower water pumps c. Associated piping, supports, controls, and electrical equipment. d. Related structural pads and pedestals. e. Water filtration system f. Other items per plans and specifications 2. The installation of the following components a. New two-cell cooling tower to connect in parallel with the existing cooling tower. b. Two new cooling tower water pumps c. New control panels for equipment and VFDs with side mounted air conditioning units d. Upgrades of mechanical piping, electrical, and control systems e. New cover/canopy to protect miscellaneous electrical and control panels from weather elements and rain. f. Structural pad to support the above items. g. Other items per plans and specifications The site of the Work is located IEUA’s Headquarters Building (HQ) B in the City of Chino. The Central Plant is adjacent to the Regional Water Recycling Plant No. 5 (RP-5).
